Her birth date was the 29th of March, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Her given name is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). The mother of two is Mexican American and is American by citizenship. Since she was a child she's always had a strong determination to be involved in sports. Gerina began to play golf when she was 15 years old. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her high school education. When she was in the high school level, she was able to win at the New Mexico state golf tournament. In addition to playing volleyball, she also competed at a state-level. 2003was the year she started studying in The University of Texas. As a senior, she took home the top prize in each tournament in which she played in. Through her college years she won an award called the Conference USA Player of The Year award and The UTEP Female Sport Athletics Award.
