Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous as the character Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales & the short lived NBC Show with the same name; Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. As a California native she was attracted to acting from the time she was a child. She started her career working in the field of advertising, appearing in a variety of commercials. In 1984 she made her first appearance in a screen show of the sitcom on NBC called It's Your Move. The following year, in the romantic comedic Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. Swan was known for her blonde lisp and her breathless voice. She's recently shifted from main roles to side ones. Swan was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award in 1990 for the best young actress in a horror or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
